Webb-Deane-Stevens Museum Holcombe Education Wing

Selected to design the new Holcombe Education Center at the historic Webb-Deane-Stevens Museum, the team at Mellowes & Paladino Architects worked to achieve a design that meshed contextually with three existing historic houses. The design introduced a central entrance to the museum complex, including a gift shop, new galleries and a large, light-filled multi-purpose space that overlooks a colonial revival garden. The addition - which also houses a library, offices, archival storage, and catering facilities - succeeds in reinforcing and enhancing the underlying educational mission of the museum.
